The Altar is a decorative object that only appears in Downtown inside of churches. It doesn't do anything, however you can Teleport to it from the minimap, serving as landmarks to teleport around the level.

- Previously you could interact with it in older versions, it used to give the option to sacrifice dead bodies that are in the same building. Offering the bodies would only causes them to explode. And you can only offer up to 3 bodies.
- This functionality was likely a reference to other roguelikes such as NetHack and Spelunky, where similar sacrifice mechanics are common.
