Art of the Deal is a trait in Streets of Rogue. It lets you buy equipped weapons, key and/or safe combination from business owners. Doing so allows you to freely take the item from the store without the owner becoming Hostile. Usually, it isn't worth doing this unless the store contains a mission item you need.

Tips and Strategies

• This skill can prove to be incredibly useful when you're going for a no-kill run. Being able to simply purchase the key and safe combo, allows you to complete a mission without the need of violence.
• You can also use this skill to gain an advantage in combat. Before you start fighting, you may be able to purchase the weapons off of the targets hands, so they won't be able to protect themselves.
• Purchasing items from people’s inventories using Art of the Deal costs much more(4.3x?) than purchasing items from shops.
• This trait has a good synergy with On the House, allowing you to have a 50% to buy off items and weapons off NPCs for free.
• Don't forget to loot their Refrigerator (if there is one) before you leave.
