Attributes are stats that dictate a character's vitality, movement speed, melee strength, and effectiveness with guns. The 4 different attributes are: Endurance, Speed, Melee and Firearms. Each one affects certain aspects of the character.
Attributes generally have a minimum value of 1 and a maximum value of 4. Some special circumstances can raise an attribute above 4, such as riding in the Mech and Werewolf (Status Effect), and certain traits can change to unnumbered values such as Roller Skates and Near-Harmless.
Below is the list of the attributes and how they affect characters.
List of Attributes[]
Endurance[]
Endurance is the measure of how much health a character starts with. It increases in increments of 20 health points per Endurance point with a base health value of 60. NPCs have a lowerof the health a player would have with the same Endurance stat.
Speed[]
Speed refers to a character's base movement speed. The Speed attribute can be temporarily changed mid-game with the use of some buffs, such as the Fast status effect by using Sugar or the I'm Outtie trait. NPCs walk around instead since they don't use their base movement speed unless provoked.
Melee[]
Melee dictates how strong a character's melee attacks are with melee weapons - fists included. The attribute can be altered mid-game through some buffs, like the Strength status effect from Muscly Pills or with the Bracelet of Strength.
Firearms[]
Firearms determines how proficient a character is with ranged weaponry. The attribute affects the damage of guns, rate of fire, accuracy, as well as the frequency of auto-aim. NPCs will always have a fire-rate slightly slower than the player.
Luck[]
Luck is an hidden attribute that controls what are the chances of success on object and NPC interaction, critical hits, chance based trait effects, item drops([verification/citation needed]) and miscellaneous chances such as joke chance of giving good results, what makes it different from other attributes is that it cannot be changed in the stats, or with traits so it can only be affected by Items, and Status Effects, NPC only use luck when it comes to trait effects such as bouncers using Kneecapper hits to slow you down.
