"Mutilate every unlawful creep in the city, even the ones the Law doesn't actually care about.  Oh, and they're armed.  And hostile."

Brute Force Progress is the Big Quest for the Mech Pilot (and can also be chosen for Custom Characters). In this quest, you must neutralize every "unlawful citizen" on each floor of the run. These NPCs will spawn armed and Hostile to the player.

The game considers unlawful citizens to be Drug Dealers, Cannibals, Gangsters, Mobsters, Slavemasters, Thieves, and Vampires.

The required number of targets (kills) per floor will never be more than 25.

Notes[ | ]

  • Ride Mech technically speaking has nothing to do with this quest — as long as the targets are neutralized, that's all that matters. This is particularly noteworthy for Custom Characters since it means they don't need to pick that ability.
  • This Big Quest has the benefit of marking Thieves and Cannibals hiding in bushes and manholes, allowing you to avoid being ambushed by them.

Super Special Ability[ | ]

While playing as the Mech Pilot after completing Brute Force Progress, with Super Special Abilities (Mutator) enabled:

  • Laser Cannon is more powerful and charges faster.
  • Oil restores more health.

Tips and Strategies[ | ]

  • This quest is pretty straightforward. Kill and neutralize every one of your targets. Don't leave the level until you got all of them or you reached the 25 kills cap.
  • Remember that the Mech is not required for these kills! Any method of neutralizing is sufficient.
  • Law Enforcement will mostly ignore you while you're in your Mech, due to Cops Don't Care. However, you can make them aid you in combat if your targets accidentally hit them or a random civilian in their sight.
