Cop Debt is a unique status effect similar to Debt but specifically comes from the trait Corruption Costs. Cop debt can be paid at either an ATM or when talking to a Cop (His Alignment towards you will affect the cost).
"Corruption costs" will give you a Cop Debt at the start of each new plant and it increases per level.
- If you don't call a Cop Debt, it will only increase by $15 but 2 things will happen:
- 1. Supercops will appear regardless of the district.
- 2. All cops will turn hostile until you pay the cop debt, if you pay while a hostile cop attacks you, the cop will stay hostile.
Tips and strategies[]
- You can take the option to skip a Cop debt and pay it off later to reduce the cost of debt, just be careful of running into the police and remember to pay off the Cop debt before anything else.
- Even with the option of paying your debt directly to a Cop, it's best to find the ATM to teleport to whenever.
- In Uptown never have outstanding debts due to the Lockdown Walls, the Cop Bots and the Alarm Buttons.
