It will always drop a single item / pile of money (respectively). In-Game Tooltip "As long as you hold onto this, lamps will sometimes contain useful items."

The Cube of Lampey is a passive item in Streets of Rogue which causes Lamps to drop Trash Can Tier items when destroyed. Each Lamp is guaranteed to drop an item / money pile when destroyed at the cost of one charge from the cube.

• It was announced on a live stream by the dev, that the Cube of Lampey is a reference to the Cube of Zoe from Castlevania.
• Assuming that all possible loot has equal chance to spawn, selling the cubes is about twice as profitable than using them.

Bugs and Exploits

• Picking up a Lamp as a Wrestler and throwing it will use up two charges for one drop.
• Has a chance to drop Fist and if you pick it up you have a permanent 2nd Fist weapon in your weapons scroll bar.
• If you have Knuckley it does this weird doubling thing and your fist will hit for 14 damage.
