Corpses or Dead bodies are a object in Streets of Rogue. They are a product when a living being is killed and had their HP dropped to zero, leaving their lifeless body behind.
However dealing too much damage such as Explosions or using powerful weapons like Sledgehammers, Axes, Shotguns or Revolvers or even shrinking them and stomping on them, will instead gib the character, leaving giblets behind instead of a body. Also damaging the corpse with melee strikes will also gib the body.
Be warned that some Characters and property owners won't be happy to see their buddies killed when they find their bodies left behind, and they will investigate their surroundings to search for the killer and when they do, they'll turn Hostile and attack them including you if you're the one that killed them.
Corpses can be Cannibalized to regain back lost health, but after a few bites the body explodes into giblets.
Notes[ | ]
- Corpses of Slaves, Cop Bots and the Killer Robot will always create a small explosion in death, leaving giblets behind except from the robot characters. The same effect can be achieved in the Exploding Bodies mutator.
- Destroying and gibbing the corpses won't stop characters from investigating and recognizing the remains of the corpses, and they will still search for the killer who did it.
- The Musician from the Bodyguard negative trait cannot have their corpses destroyed or their bodies moved around.
- Hitting a dead body does not deplete weapon durability.
- Corpses in doorways prevent you from closing the door.
- The cannibal can eat corpses to restore health
Tips and Strategies[ | ]
- Playing as the Cannibal you want to "Cook" the corpses with items that can start fires, such as a Flamethrower. And eating "Cooked" corpses will restore more HP per bite.
