The Freeze Ray is a projectile weapon in Streets of Rogue. It fires a slow-moving Ice Bullet capable of freezing characters hit by it. It can also be used to extinguish fires.
It is only obtainable through Mission rewards or by playing as a Scientist/Custom Character that starts with it.

Tips and Strategies[]
- Characters Frozen by the Freeze ray will take double damage from any source. Using strong weapons like the Axe, Sword, Shotgun, Revolver and the Sledgehammer will usually shatter them outright, or at least deal a large amount of damage.
- Frozen characters will also take double damage from Explosions. Small explosions from a Rocket (Fired from a Rocket Launcher) or a Grenade will deal 60 damage instead of 30, while bigger explosions deal 100 instead of 50
- Freezing NPCs in middle of Mine Cart or Train tracks will most likely shatter and kill frozen NPCs in one hit. (Outside of Extra Health for NPCs or Full Health for All)
- Penetrating Bullets allows the weapon to freeze multiple groups of enemies, allowing you to finish them off with a explosive, powerful weapon, or by freezing people on the middle of the tracks of a train. A great trait for the Freeze Ray.
- Characters with the Pacifist trait like the Doctor refuse to use this weapon, despite it dealing no damage.
- Cops will find this a handy tool when making arrests to fill their marks in their Big Quest.
- The Shapeshifter will also find it very useful for Possessing bodies as well. Especially ones that are hard to possess such as Supercops.
