Fud is a healing item in Streets of Rogue which can be eaten to regain 5 health. It can be obtained in many ways, the most notable is the Fud Processor and found in Trash Cans. It can be turned into Hot Fud using the Barbecue as long as you have something that can light it with.
Tips and Strategies[ | ]
- While on one hand Fud doesn't restore too much health, it be grilled at barbecues, from the Park onwards, turning it into Hot Fud and tripling the amount of health restored. Furthermore Barbecues are very common throughout the Park stages and also spawn in Downtown and Uptown levels in City parks, albeit more rarely.
- It's often best to find and save Fud rather than consuming it and also holding onto something to light Barbecues like a Cigarette Lighter or a Flamethrower.
- If going for an electoral victory, fud can be given to Office Drones to motivate them and increase Electability.
- In Low Health For All, regular Fud is slightly more useful since it can restore a portion of your missing HP, giving space for more important food or health recovering items like Bacon Cheeseburgers, Beer, Whiskey and Bananas in the long run. However it's still recommended to turn them into Hot Fud at the Park.
Trivia[ | ]
- Matthew Dabrowski has stated that canonically, the vast majority of Fud is "a mix of human meat, soy and literal garbage", despite this the Cannibal cannot eat Fud, probably due to the human part being unknown to the population. The soy part may be a reference to the movie "Soylent Green" where there's also a mass-produced food product made out of human meat.
- The Fud recipient could be vaguely based on the Jif Peanut Butter recipient.
