Game Modes are the different "states" that Streets of Rogue can be in while running. Some are meant purely for gameplay, whereas others are for testing or creation purposes.
Singleplayer[]
As the name indicates, this is the game mode running when one single Player is playing the game.
Multiplayer (Co-Op)[]
Streets of Rogue supports up to 4 Players in a Co-Op game.
Seeds[]
These can be used to duplicate a previous run, down to almost every detail.
Daily Run[]
A custom run that changes each day, which will consist of a random Character and 1 to 3 random Mutators.
Campaigns[]
A combination of levels and content separate from the usual Stages. These typically have a theme to them, such as a zombie apocalypse or a Zelda crossover.
Level Editor[]
As the name indicates, this allows you to create and modify levels (floors).
Sandbox Mutator[]
While technically a mutator, Sandbox changes gameplay significantly enough that it is fair to consider it a custom game mode. Its main changes are:
- Item Teleporter is received at the start of the run.
- Missions do not have to be completed to use the exit Elevator.
- Chicken Nuggets are not earned from levelups or missions.
- Achievements cannot be unlocked.
- New Traits cannot be unlocked.
- Reward Items cannot be unlocked.
