On the House is a Trait in Streets of Rogue. When you purchase an item, there is a 50% chance that the item will be given to you for free.

When On the House is upgraded it becomes On the House +. Which increases the chance that a purchased item will be free from 50% to 75%.

Tips and Strategies

• This trait has a good synergy with Art of the Deal for the Shopkeeper, allowing you to have a 50% chance to get NPC's items or held weapons (Such as Pistols) for free, moreso if "On the House" has been upgraded with a Augmentation Booth.
• Upgrading this trait is not necessarily advisable, as 4 times the cost of the upgrade in cash must be spent, or $1500 in NPC goods for the upgrade to pay for itself.
