The Operating Bar is a game mechanic and visual indicator that appears near the player upon performing certain actions. The bar fills from from left to right, and must fully reach the end for the action to be completed successfully. The time it takes for the bar to finish can be decreased with the Nimble Fingers positive trait and is increased by the Poor Hand-Eye Coordination negative trait.
Depending on the action being performed, the Operating Bar will display text regarding the action itself (e.g. "Enslaving..."). When applicable, there is also text above that which indicates what character or object the action is being performed upon.
Trivia[]
- The Operating Bar is sometimes erroneously called the "Action Bar", but this does not match the verbiage used by the game's developer, who refers to it as Operating Bar. Ironically, it is referred to by the in-game tooltips as "(Doing Something)..." bar.
