Quest with a Twist is the Big Quest for the Bartender (and can also be chosen for Custom Characters).
In this quest, you must Serve Drinks to 5 different NPCs on every floor throughout your run. The items which can be served are Beer
, Cocktails
, and Whiskey
.
Super Special Ability[]
While playing as the Bartender after completing Quest with a Twist, with Super Special Abilities (Mutator) enabled:
- Charismatic trait makes people Loyal to you instead of Friendly.
Trivia[]
- While this Big Quest's goal is supposedly getting a job in Uptown, there are no bartenders there because of the alcohol ban enforced by the cop bots. This is either an oversight bot simply implies that they hope to be the first.
Tips and Strategies[]
- You are not actually reliant on the Drink Mixer to complete this quest. Beer and Whiskey purchased from other Bartenders and the Loadout-O-Matic also count towards the quest, and have the added bonus of making any Neutral NPC become Friendly.
- If you buy all available beer on every level, there is very little risk of running out of drinks or money.
- Cigarettes are another cheap item to make drinks with. They can be found in Trash Cans, bought cheaply from Shopkeepers, Drug Dealers, and Loadout-O-Matic machines. They also stack.
- Drug Dealers always have items you can use to make drinks. They will become rare later in the game, so stock up if you are low on ingredients.
- For the sake of conserving inventory space, make drinks with the ingredient you have the least of first.
- Who you serve the drinks to doesn't matter as long as it isn't the same person more than once.
- Loneliness Killer is an exceptional trait for this Big Quest, as drinks can be bought from the Bartenders it spawns - usually including Beer which is the cheapest source of alcohol possible and can save a lot of money throughout the run.
