The Research Gun is a projectile weapon exclusive to the Scientist. Its purpose is to 'research' particular NPCs under status effects, as part of the Scientist's Big Quest Ethical Experiments.

Completing the Big Quest for the Scientist and with Super Special Abilities on, Turns the Research Gun into a Weapon that causes negative status effects on NPCs hit by this weapon.

Super Special Ability

• Research Gun causes negative status effects. Each NPC can only be affected ONCE by the Research Gun.

Trivia

• The graphics it uses are the same as the BFG (which was never implemented in-game).
