The Satellite Dish is a special Object which can be used to broadcast "Happy Waves" or to spawn a Alien. They only appear in Uptown in Broadcasting Stations. The Happy wave effect is highly similar to the Cologne effect. However, these two options require the Tech Expert Trait.

Satellite Dishes appear in the minimap with this icon.

Tips and Strategies

• With Tech Expert, using or hacking the computer will allow you to "Broadcast Happy Waves" turning many NPCs in the level Friendly, increasing your Electability. However, like the Cologne item. It will not turn Annoyed or Hostile NPCs Friendly.
• The Satellite Dish can be used to spawn an Alien which gives you a Achievement.
  1. To this you'll will need the Tech Expert Trait and either a Wrench or a Hacking Tool / Laptop.
  2. Now you will need to adjust the Satellite by either hacking into it or by manually adjusting it via interacting.
  3. The next step, you need to interact with the Computer and overload the Satellite.
  4. And Profit, you have now spawned an Alien and probably gotten an Achievement!
  5. The Alien will just wander the level being useless, but you can still broadcast the happy waves!
• It's highly recommend to play as the Hacker or a Custom Character with Tech Expert (And a Laptop) if you want to summon the alien!
  • But if you want to just broadcast the happy waves instead, then the Demolitionist or the Scientist and the Shapeshifter (By possessing Scientists) can be used. Otherwise you'll require hiring a NPC Hacker to broadcast the waves for you.
• Disabling or breaking the Power Box or the station's Computer will prevent one from casting happy waves or summoning the Alien.
