Shrewd Negotiator is a trait in Streets of Rogue. It reduces the cost to buy items from shops by 35%.

When Shrewd Negotiator is upgraded it becomes Shrewd Negotiator +. Shrewd Negotiator + increases the price reduction from 35% to 70%.

Tips and Strategies

• Upgrading this trait is not necessarily advisable, as almost 3 times the cost of the upgrade in cash must be spent, or $1071 in NPC goods for the upgrade to pay for itself.
• With Shrewd Negotiator+ you can buy items, and sell them for slightly more than they cost, this can be abused with aPortable Sell-O-Matic
• If you have Art of the deal, purchasing the mayors hat alone makes up for the upgrade cost.
• If you have Art of the Deal, Shrewd Negotiator+, On the House+, and a Portable Sell-O-Matic, you can buy and sell every available item on a level for a profit, just make sure to sell weapons before buying duplicates, or if you have firearm modifications you want to keep, dropping said gun before buying and selling the gun of its type.
