The Slave is a non-playable character in Streets of Rogue. They wear a white faded shirt and are mostly seen wearing explosive Slave Helmets in their heads.
NPC[]
Slaves are seen being sold by slavemasters in various stages and levels, and in Downtown and Uptown they are seen wandering with a Upper-Cruster that owns one.
Besides Skill points, the only other knowledge on the Slave is that they have the Team Building Expert Trait and are Aligned with other slaves sold by the Slavemaster that owns them. If a slave dies or is knocked out, they will explode a moment later.
Slaves can be purchased from Slavemasters and a Slave Helmet Remote will be added to your inventory, the slave will be Submissive and can be commanded to attack, stand guard or be given items. If the player or the owner gets too far away from the slave they purchased or own, they will explode and die, they will also try to stay close to their owners to avoid their helmets from detonating.
Should the player feel generous, they have the option to use "You're Free!" to free the Slave, turning them into a Former Slave, they are nearly identical to normal Slaves just without a explosive helmet. They also turn into Former Slaves if the player ops to neutralize the Slavemasters or the Upper-Cruster that owns them. Or uses a Slave Helmet Remover, tampers with a Wrench,Hacking their helmets or hitting them with EMP to disable it, also freeing them as well.
