The Slot Machine is a usable object that allows the player to gamble their Money. When interacted with, the player has the option to gamble $5, $20, or $50. Selecting any of these will spend that amount, with a 48% chance to win double your money and a 52% chance to lose it. Unless the mutator No Limits is active, all slot machines on the floor will become busted and unusable after using any slot machine 7-10 times.
Probability[ | ]
The Slot Machine starts with a base probability of 48% for winning and 52% for losing. These chances can be altered through various means:
- Hacking the machine to increase the winning odds adds 15%.
- Carrying a Four-Leaf Clover in the inventory adds 8%.
- Having the status effect Feelin' Lucky or Feelin' Unlucky respectively adds or subtracts (16 * seconds of effect remaining / 60 + 11)%.
By combining all of the above methods and additionally having the Longer Status Effects trait to increase the maximum bonus from Feelin' Lucky from 27% to 35%, one can achieve a maximal probability of 100%. However, this chance would decrease each second as Feelin' Lucky wears off.
48 + 15 + 8 + (16 * 90 / 60 + 11) = 106% (cut off at 100%)
When always bidding $50 until the machine breaks, a hacked slot machine gives an average profit of $110.50 per floor. This translates to $51 per floor when possessing a Four-Leaf Clover, or $178.50 with both.

Trivia[ | ]
- Slot machines used to make ambient noises, but this removed because the sounds were loud and distracting (to the player, not to NPCs!)
