The Supercop is a brutally strong NPC and playable character. They wear a heavily-armored riot vest and a riot helmet.

Completing the Cop's Law Abiding Law Enforcer Big Quest will allow you to play as a Supercop after reaching Mayor Village, and you can then start the game as a Supercop when the Super Special Abilities mutator is enabled.

NPC[]

Supercops are normally encountered in Downtown and Uptown; they can appear on other floors if the mutators Mixed-Up Environments or Supercop Land are enabled, or if a player Mobster forgets to pay their Corruption Debt off. Supercops are heavily armed and fighting them is very dangerous.

They naturally spawn in Uptown, but in Downtown they will only spawn if an Alarm Button is triggered. When one is activated, a Supercop will spawn from the associated Police Box and, if spawned by an Upper-Cruster, will begin searching for the Player or NPC that the Upper-Cruster is fleeing from.

If a player's Corruption Debt has not been paid off, Hostile Supercops will spawn at the beginning of a level and track down the player. These Supercops will become Neutral once the Corruption Dept is paid off unless the Player has committed other crimes in front of them, but they will continue to patrol on the floor either way, making it a good idea to consistently pay off the Corruption Debt.

They are always loyal to the character that triggers the Alarm Button. If the player has the trait The Law, Supercops are Friendly and make valuable allies if you need them in a fight. Supercops are also loyal to Upper-Crusters.

Unlike Cops, Supercops will investigate any sounds they hear such as alarms or fighting. Though they won't necessarily become Hostile on sight, this makes it very easy to be caught in the act of committing a crime.

Drops[]

Notes[]

  • Supercops, unlike most other NPCs, have 2 weapons. If their first weapon - usually a Projectile Weapon - runs out or breaks, they will switch to the second one, which is a Police Baton.
  • The blue helmets that Supercops wear are simply accessories and are purely decorative, rather than actual protective Headwear. This doesn't make them any less tanky, however.

Tips and Strategies[]

NPC[]

  • Supercops are one of the toughest and deadliest enemies in the game, especially together in groups and with Cops in Downtown or Cop Bots in Uptown. A lone Supercop can be dealt with, but large groups of angry Supercops can easily end your run. It's best not to anger them or make an Upper-Cruster Hostile near an Alarm Button.
    • Since they're so tough, they're also valuable allies, Hacking an Alarm Button can summon one that will follow you and can be commanded to attack other NPCs such as Supergoons, and in Uptown this can be used to stage battles against Supergoons in heavily guarded establishments such as private clubs or banks. Nearby Supercops will defend their fellow Supercops, so a well-planned attack by your allied Supercop can turn into a complete slaughter of the other side. The Walkie Talkie is also good for taking advantage of Supercops on the Uptown floors.
    • Supercops in earlier levels, such as Industrial, instead use less powerful weapons such as Pistols, and in the Slums they only have Police Batons equipped. They will begin spawning with their full loadout once you reach the Park.
  • Unlike regular Cops, Supercops will thoroughly investigate any noise happening nearby, such as gunshots, explosions and even alarms from Security Cams or Laser Emitters. They will not hesitate to enter Hideouts or Banks to investigate the source of the noise.
  • If you have the trait Random Reverence and a Hostile Upper-Cruster spawns a Supercop to kill you, there is a chance that the Supercop will be Aligned with you.
  • If the player character is a Supercop, either by playing as one or through possession, they will be Aligned with both Supercops and Cop Bots. The latter can prove to be very useful as Aligned Cop Bots will not deport the player or confiscate items belonging to the player character.
  • If the player is Aligned with the Supercops guarding the Mayor, they can approach the Mayor even without the Mayor Visitor's Badge.
  • If a player is playing as an Upper-Cruster, they can spawn a follower Supercop by using an Alarm Button. Supercops spawned in this way won't leave the floor unless the player has the trait Homesickness Killer.
    • The Shapeshifter can also do this by Possessing an Upper-Cruster. However, this strategy is not recommended for a Shapeshifter with Homesickness Killer, as you must return to your natural form between floors and the Supercop will become Hostile to you on the next floor.

Playable[]

  • If you're a Cop and you have reached Mayor Village after completing your Big Quest, turning you into a Supercop, talking to the Bouncers at the checkpoint of Mayor Village will turn off the blue laser, allowing you to pass through with your weapons.
  • Cop Bots will not Confiscate your items or deport you, due to being Aligned with you - a major advantage over the Cop, who receives no such special treatment.
  • Supercop is a very strong start, so you should be able to take on almost any challenge the game throws at you from the beginning.
  • Other than differences in Alignment and stats, the Supercop plays similarly to the Cop - check that page for more tips.
  • Its best to have No In-Fighting trait, this can be useful to prevent accidental friendly fire on your on fellow Law Enforcement and have allies conspire against you

Trivia[]

  • Previously, you needed to ask a Supercop for a promotion before you could become a Supercop yourself after completing the Cop's Big Quest, which was to make a certain number of arrests before reaching Uptown.
  • In the early Chinese version of the game, all law enforcers were changed and renamed. Supercops were called Super No-Fun Enforcers and their armor and helmets were magenta instead of blue.
  • The Supercop is the only character to not be deported by Cop Bots without the Upper-Crusty trait.
  • They are the only character to have cosmetic, rather than functional, helmets and vests.
