The New Hotness

The New Hotness is the Big Quest for the Shopkeeper (and can also be chosen for Custom Characters).

In this quest, you must sell one specific item on each floor to your Portable Sell-O-Matic. Selling the item to a standard Sell-O-Matic will not fulfill the quest requirement.

Super Special Ability

While playing as the Shopkeeper after completing The New Hotness, with Super Special Abilities (Mutator) enabled:

• Shrewd Negotiator is more effective.
• All other transactions cost less.

Tips and Strategies

• Check the Big Quest immediately upon starting a new level. You might have the item you need to sell already in your inventory.

• Check the inventories of Drug Dealers, Bartenders, and other Shopkeepers on the levels if you are having trouble finding the correct item.

• If you need to sell a ranged weapon, the amount of ammo it has doesn't matter. For example, you can sell an empty Pistol instead of a full Pistol to satisfy the quest objective.

• If you need to sell a melee weapon, it might be tempting to use it for a bit before selling it off. Do not do this. If you break the weapon, you might not be able to find a replacement of the same type on the level.
• The current "hot" item is much more valuable to sell than usual, and will make a profit even if you buy it out of an NPCs inventory - but only when sold with the Portable Sell-O-Matic. This lasts the entire floor, so track down and resell every copy of the item that you can find.
