The Time Bomb is a tool in Streets of Rogue. When placed, you have 10 seconds to get away from it before it causes a huge explosion which deals 200 damage (and like most other things can crit) [verification/citation needed]. When hit with a melee weapon or any other type of knockback, it is pushed accordingly. NPCs will run away in fear on sight of the bomb, and will trigger hostility if caught placing the bomb in their possessions.
Notes[]
- Despite being invincible to the Time Bomb, Ghosts will run away from the Bomb in fear.
- You can't put down more than 10 Time Bombs at the same time, otherwise the player will say "Too many bombs!". This occurs with Fireworks and with Remote Bombs as well (although the limit for Remote Bombs is 30 [verification/citation needed]).
- As a comparison, the explosion is as big as an Overclocked Generator. It deals more than enough damage to gib every character and NPC in the game with the single exception of the killer robot. The margin for error when using one is very, very low.
- If you have Blaster Survivor, you can use it to scare away NPCs without being killed, but you should probably just use the air filter and a drug, as time bombs are quest reward exclusive.
- If used correctly, you can use a time bomb near a target without them noticing and then wait for the bomb to detonate and kill.
Affected Objects[]
Time Bomb destroys almost any object in the game. Exceptions are Lockdown Walls, Elevators, and the Podium.
