The Tranquilizer Gun is a silent projectile weapon in Streets of Rogue. It shoots a silent dart that inflicts Tranquilized on the victim. After 10 seconds of being tranquilized, the victim will be knocked out. If someone is shot twice, then they will be knocked out almost instantaneously. This is one of the few projectile weapons that Pacifists can use.
The Doctor character starts with this item, but it can also be sold by Shopkeepers and Soldiers in Malls.
Enemies will not notice being hit by a Tranquilizer Gun dart unless they see the player firing it at them. This effect is unique to the gun and greatly aids stealthy characters, especially ones that are pacifist.
This is a good weapon for finishing Neutralize missions stealthily, as long as the mission doesn't need to be completed quickly.

Tips and Strategies[ | ]
- Because of how expensive it is to refill the tranquilizer, it's better to manually aim the Tranquilizer Gun instead of relying on auto-aim, especially when playing as the Doctor.
- Knocking out characters will give you slightly more XP than from killing them outright. Additionally, if you tranquilize people instead of murdering them, you will receive extra XP at the end of the level for not killing anyone.
- Knocking out NPCs who are wearing helmets or are wielding weapons will drop them and can give you full durability/ammo of those items they were using without damaging their armor or making them waste most of their ammo.
- NPCs wearing Gas Masks in Industrial are immune to getting Knocked Out from the Chloroform Hankie, but not getting from tranquilized by the tranquilizer gun, so save some darts for them.
