The Tutorial is available in the north-west end of the Home Base, and also occurs automatically after the intro sequence when the player launches the game for the first time. Its purpose is to teach the player the basics of movement, combat and interaction throughout the stage with 2 Resistance Leaders, a Bouncer and a Shopkeeper.

- Extra dialogue can be given from the Resistance Leader if certain actions are made to trigger them. These include:
- Breaking the door instead of opening it
- Neutralising the Shopkeeper
- Killing the Bouncer instead of tranquilizing him
- Hacking the Television instead of the Computer to make an opening
- Attempting to shoot the Resistance Leader with the Tranquilizer Gun when you first receive it
- Blowing up the first Laser Emitter before walking through, without taking damage. You manage this by punching a dropped item through it
- Throwing the Rocks at the Resistance Leader after being blown up by the first Laser Emitter
- Throwing the Rocks away
- Trying to walk through the second laser without blowing it up
- The Resistance Leader at the end mentions the amount of casualties that took place during the tutorial. You can get a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 by killing (rather than tranquilizing) the other NPCs
- It is impossible to kill yourself by throwing Rocks into a wall that bounce into you, as you cannot receive damage from it in the tutorial
