Vocally Challenged is a negative trait in Streets of Rogue that causes the character to be unable to talk to others, unless holding a Translator.

Notes

• Alien, Gorilla, and Zombie characters can still communicate with their fellow Aliens/Gorillas/Zombies respectively.

• Attempting to talk to a different species without a Translator with this trait will always cause the character to say they don't speak English, regardless of whether or not the species you tried speaking to speaks English themselves.

Trivia

• When trying to talk to anyone, the player will say "I can't speak English!" even though of course if they couldn't speak English they would not be able to say that. This is assumed to be a design choice for comedic purposes.
