The PAGENAME is a both an NPC and playable character. When not in werewolf form, the Werewolf has the appearance of an Office Drone, but all of their attributes are 1. The Werewolf can be unlocked by killing a Ghost. == NPC == The Werewolf does not normally appear as an NPC. However, there are four exceptions: * Using a Cloning Machine as a Werewolf character in normal form. Hacking a Cloning Machine can sometimes produce a Werewolf as a follower - which stays in Werewolf form permanently. * The effect of the Loneliness Killer trait when playing as a Werewolf. * Hidden Werewolves appear as a part of the Vampire's Big Quest. *Normal NPCs will sometimes spawn as hidden Werewolves with the mutator Many Werewolves active. == Tips and Strategies == === Playable === * How to fight: The Werewolf is the strongest and most mobile melee character when transformed. You can do massive damage and can kill even of groups of ranged enemies easily with Sharp Lunge. However, you can't use any weapons and cannot use any items. However, not every fight needs to be done in Werewolf form. Your normal form may have the worst stats of any character class, but your skill as a player can still let you win fights with a good melee weapon and guns can solve situations that your transformed form might struggle with, even with your low Firearms attribute. * How to finish a mission: The key to playing the Werewolf is knowing how to use Werewolf Transformation. You need know when to transform, what you can and cannot do while transformed, and how to keep yourself safe when the transformation ends. * How to unlock: You can easily unlock the Werewolf by playing as a Scientist since they start with a Ghost Gibber or as a Custom Character who starts with one. Graveyards are easy to locate in earlier floors. Even if there aren't ghosts wandering around the Graveyard initially, smashing Gravestones can spawn them. However, since the Ghost Gibber is a fairly common mission reward, you won't need to go out of your way to unlock this character as long as you remember to kill a ghost once you have one. * You can heal while in Werewolf form by pressing the quick heal button. * The transformation lasts 15 seconds; once you revert back, you will suffer from Crazy-Dizzy for 5 seconds. Make sure you are away from danger when this happens. On the other hand, enemies will lose track of you if your transformation ends outside of their line of sight. * Longer Status Effects increases the amount of time spent in Werewolf form during a transformation, but it also increases the time spent in Crazy-Dizzy afterward. * If you need to get somewhere fast, you can use repeatedly use Sharp Lunge to move around at high speed. Just be careful about accidentally hitting NPCs or transforming back to human form at a bad time. * Pea-Brained doesn't prevent you from using the Exit Elevator while in Werewolf form or from picking up dropped items. * When transformed, it's better to use your regular fists rather than using Sharp Lunge for breaking most objects, as it doesn't send you flying away from the object you're trying to destroy. * * *If you save prisoners in your Werewolf form, they won't be Loyal to you when you revert back. If you are concerned about Electability or want to recruit any of the prisoners, try to free them after reverting back to a normal human. === NPC === * In the Vampire's quest, Mythical Matchup, Werewolves are very formidable melee opponents. They have 8 Speed and 6 Melee, and their Endurance depends on what Character they were prior to transforming. They deal 13 damage with their Fists and NPCs aligned with the Werewolf will still assist and fight alongside the wolf, making them more dangerous. Use your Werewolf A-Were-ness to know who is a Werewolf and try to plan accordingly. ** Biting a Werewolf will allow you to kill them without risk, as long as they don't have any nearby friends. * You can prevent the Werewolf from transforming by Tranquilizing them with a Tranquilizer Gun, by instantly killing them in one shot in their human forms, Chloroforming them, or Arresting them with Handcuffs. * With the Many Werewolves mutator active as any character other than the Vampire, you won't know who is a Werewolf, as you won't have Werewolf A-Were-ness unless you are playing a Custom Character with that trait. Keep in mind that there can be multiple Werewolves in the level. Be very cautious when starting fights, as even the weakest target could secretly be a Werewolf - and a group might contain more than one! ** Characters with The Law like the Cop can sometimes deduce that an NPC is a Werewolf, as they're always marked as Guilty while the humans alongside them will not be; however, this can't be done with NPCs that would normally be Guilty, such as Mission NPCs or NPCs working with Drug Dealers. ** Ranged fighters such as the Soldier, Shopkeeper and the Gangster can shoot the wolf from a safe distance with weapons like a Machinegun or a Shotgun. However, they have Unstoppable-ish and won't take any knockback from bullets. Try shooting while running backwards until the Werewolf is dead. *** Because of Unstoppable-ish, the Flamethrower is less effective, as it won't knock the Werewolf back. Inflicting them with Slow or having a high Speed to outrun them is the best way to use a Flamethrower on a werewolf. * The Ghost Gibber is a excellent weapon against them. Try to get one when hunting them down as a Vampire or when at risk of fighting them with the Many Werewolves mutator active. * Because of their high Speed, inflicting Slow on them by using Bear Traps, hitting them with the Kneecapper trait, or even paralyzing them with a Paralyzer Trap can help make fighting or running away from them easier. == Trivia == * The Werewolf and Gorilla have no English lines at Home Base, even when playing as the Hacker who starts with a Translator. * The Werewolf's description references the 1985 movie, Teen Wolf. Nav playable characters
