Backstory
"Manhandling, smashing, beating -- all in a day's work for the simple-minded but strong-of-heart Wrestler! But in truth, this behavior stems from the Wrestler's severe frustrations with the world. Why has the mayor banned playful roughhousing? Why do so many businesses frown upon shirtlessness? Why do books have all those stupid words in them? AAARRRGH!!!"

The Wrestler is an NPC and playable character. He is shirtless, but does wear green wrestling shorts.

He is unlocked by completing the Slums only using your fists.

Super Special Ability[ | ]

  • Greater damage from thrown objects
  • Anyone can be challenged to a fight.

NPC[ | ]

Wrestlers can be found in Downtown and Uptown working in Arena buildings. Players that fight in the arena will face 1 or 2 Wrestlers as opponents.

Unlocking tips[ | ]

Play as the Gorilla or the Jock, as they are melee specialists. Using a combination of the No Melee Weapons and No Guns Mutators prevents you from accidentally using a weapon.

Tips and Strategies[ | ]

  • How to fight: The Wrestler is a character whose main strengths come solely from his ability and stats. His high Melee stat will allow you to deal very good damage and the trait Tank-Like keeps you closer to the enemies. You start with a Muscly Pill for a situation where you need to take on a very challenging fight, and the Codpiece gives you a defensive boost until it breaks.
  • How to finish a mission: You should focus on fighting since it's what the Wrestler is best at; he is very poor at stealth and has few other options. For tough fights, consider using hit and run tactics with Toss.
  • Tossing an object is a great way to start a fight. Keep in mind that Toss isn't 100% accurate and you can miss even if you manually aim. It's better to use Toss once then enter melee combat rather than trying to use Toss repeatedly.
  • Since you can't use Computers, the best way to use them is to pick up the computer and throw it at your next target. That way, you can use it as an attack and deactivate everything in its home building after it is thrown.
  • Once you pick up an object, you cannot put it down. It can only be thrown and destroyed. Make absolutely sure you will not need the object you picked up later on.
  • Picking something up with Toss causes NPCs such as Cops and business owners to react as if you destroyed the object. Expect them to be Annoyed at the very least.
  • Holding an object prevents you from changing weapons or interacting with objects. You can still open unlocked doors, however.
  • Make sure to look out for objects like fridges, stoves, flaming barrels, and explosive barrels, as they can inflict unique effects in addition to a thrown object's base chance to dizzy.
  • Some of the most beneficial traits are ones that affect melee attacks, like "Floats Like Butterfly" and "Knuckley". Additionally, Loneliness Killer is very valuable, since your companion will be another wrestler and will therefore share your durability and strength.
  • Removing the trait Loud at an Augmentation Booth helps out a lot with stealthier missions.
