Zombie Invasion is a type of Disaster Level. In this disaster, a number of Zombies will spawn across the map, attacking everyone and infecting everyone with Zombiism, turning them into zombies and creating hordes throughout the level.
Once all the Zombies have been neutralized, the player can freely teleport around the level.
Tips and Strategies[]
- The zombies themselves are not very hard to kill but they can become a problem in large groups. Zombies have Bullet Sponge, which makes guns that fire Bullets deal less damage and knockback towards them. Using any melee weapon will help out in this disaster.
- Ghost Gibber is a very powerful weapon in this disaster, and can clear hordes of zombies, making short work of them.
- The Flamethrower is also a very good weapon for dealing groups of zombies, since the flames from the flamethrower can push them away from melee range.
- The Sledgehammer can one shot zombies if you have high melee attribute such as the Jock, Gorilla or the Wrestler.
- Don't forget to take Muscly Pills, Strength Syringes or the Bracelet of Strength to boost your Melee as well! But if you already one shot them with the hammer, then there's no need to take the them or wear them!
- Explosive weapons such as Land Mines, Grenades, Remote Bombs or the Rocket Launcher can also kill zombies with one single explosion, and can clear groups of them.
- Zombiism is spread by physical attacks of any zombie. If an NPC takes even a single melee hit from a zombie, they will rise as a zombie after being killed. NPCs infected with Zombiism cannot be gibbed in any way, even with explosives or by freezing them. The only way to prevent this is to kill the NPCs before they get hit by a zombie or making infected NPCs fall into a Hole.
- You can also knock out infected NPCs with a Chloroform Hankie or with a Tranquilizer Gun to prevent from turning into zombies. However knocked out infected NPCs will still turn into Zombies when they die if they get hit by melee attacks or by explosions. This also applies to arresting them via Handcuffs.
- Consider leaving followers at the floor entrance in Zombie levels, as they can hordes more difficult to fight should they die to zombies themselves.
- Later areas will be much better at handling the zombie outbreak. This is thanks to heavily armed NPCs such as Mobsters, Supergoons, and Supercops. While Downtown might have a few zombies shambling around after a few minutes, Uptown will completely destroy the zombies before the outbreak even begins.
- The zombies are not Hostile to Zombie player characters since you're already one of them and are Aligned with you. This makes the level much easier to complete when playing as a Zombie and their Big Quest Spread the Love.
- Zombies will also not attack the Robot and will be neutral towards them when playing as one, as the robots are not organic nor made of flesh. As long you don't accidentally attack or hurt a zombie, you'll be able to walk around the level without fear.
